Your calm, unflappable, cheerful and friendly demeanour, where nothing is too much trouble, contributes enormously to the enjoyment of the whole experience. Dinah F, Kerry 2018 Alpujarras Mulhacen Amalfi Kerry “This was our first walking holiday and visit to Ireland, and we both enjoyed every moment and can’t wait to book the next one. The organisation, friendly & tailored approach all added to the overall fantastic experience we encounter throughout this holiday. Both as newcomers to walking/holidays , we found the leaders instilled confidence in building our abilities through their personal approach, skills& knowledge , which in turn enabled us to achieve & enjoy so much more than we imagined we would from this holiday. Big thanks & cant wait for the next time .

“Donal led walks for us on four holidays – Alicante Mountains, Matarranya, Amalfi and Alpujarras. In the case of the recent walking holidays in Amalfi and Alpujarras he organised the entire holiday – planning and budgeting the holiday, selecting the hotel and walks and the other leader and delivering. Our group was 20 to 25 walkers with walks organised into two grades of walks. He is an exceptionally good walk leader and walk organiser who prepares meticulously and establishes a good rapport with all walkers. Our group is highly delighted with the service provided by Donal and would recommend Donal – further details can be provided on request” David G – Retford and Southwell Ramblers annual walking holidays. ‘Donal was one of the leaders in a walking holiday we organised in the Alicante Mountains. We were so impressed by him that we insisted the Company who organised our next holiday in Matarranya used Donal as the main walk leader. After that we asked Donal himself to organise a holiday for us on the Amalfi Coast last year. Each time he did a superb job…..’.
Although very knowledgeable about the fauna, geology, history etc of the area where he leads, fluency in a number of languages and organisational ability his attributes that attracted me the most were his competency as a walk leader; his care and consideration for others and his motivation to ensure we had a good holiday. All this was delivered in a rather individual Irish way with a good sense of humour.’

“Just back from a wonderful week in Glenbeigh. Thank you Donal for a varied range of beautiful, well organised walks. ” Sue H, Kerry 2018
“I have at last found time to say – our walking holiday in Ireland was great – perfectly organised and lovely mountains with fantastic views, really enjoyed the challenges! – so many thanks, Donal. Barbara C, Kerry 2018
“Thanks for organising such a great holiday. I think you will have enticed many of us back to Kerry at a later date. The walks were really good and there were some great views.” Tessa R, Kerry 2018
La Taha Berchules walkYou really did us proud. The hotel couldn’t have been better. They were clearly geared up to walkers. Nothing was too much trouble. They entertained us with cookery demonstrations and fed us wonderful local, home cooked Italian dishes. You organised fantastic walks for both the more leisurely and the more challenging walkers. As always, you guided us with great good humour, skill and professionalism. We know we are in safe hands when we walk with you and that all our needs will be met’.
Your organisation of the local minibus transport to and from the various walks went without a hitch. You couldn’t have been more helpful in providing the group with suggestions and local tourist information for us to get the best out of our midweek “rest” day. You were also most careful and thorough in your detailed explanations of the walks day by day so that walkers could decide which level of walk they would join the following day’.

“After enjoying three walking holidays organised by Donal I’m looking forward to the next…. Always well prepared and organised, Donal chooses excellent accommodation offering lovely food and wine and relaxing sociable evenings. A lovely variety of walks, tailored to the needs of the group at two levels and supported by skilled and highly knowledgeable local guides”
Our last holiday on the Amalfi coast this Autumn was fantastic. The option of a free day to visit Pompeii and Herculaneum for some and Capri for others was great (or we could have walked again) and we also had the opportunity to end three of our walks in Ravello, Amalfi and Positano which made it a really good value mix of stunning walks, wild life and flowers, history and local culture’.
