Walking group in Kerry – June 2018

“This was our first walking holiday and visit to Ireland, and we both  enjoyed every moment and can’t wait to book the next one. The organisation, friendly & tailored approach all added to the overall fantastic experience we encountered throughout this holiday. Both as newcomers to walking/holidays , we found the leaders instilled confidence in building our abilities through their personal approach, skills& knowledge , which in turn enabled us to achieve & enjoy so much more than we imagined we would from this holiday. Big thanks & cant wait for the next time .

Walks in Co Kerry – Ireland’s most dramatic scenery

On our tour, the walks offer fantastic coastal scenery and spectacular views of the world famous Lakes of Killarney and Magillycuddy reeks.

The area offers huge interest, diversity and the appropriate degree of challenge for both easier and more strenuous walking.

Glenbeigh

The group would be based in the Towers Hotel, Glenbeigh, Iveragh Peninsua, Co Kerry. Glenbeigh is a large village ideally located on the north side of the Iveragh peninsula which by common consensus has the best selection of hill/mountain walks  in the country. This includes the Magillycuddy Reeks (which has Ireland’s highest mountains). The Caragh River and the Behy River flow at either side of the village. There is a number of cafés and pubs in the village with pavement seating facilities in the warmer weather giving the place a lively ambience.

Glenbeigh is on both the Ring of Kerry and the Kerry Way, and closeby are the beaches at Rossbeigh, with views out across to the Dingle peninsula.
